Matter of Style
From Bloomsbury to Borghese
Kim Jones' highly anticipated debut couture womenswear collection for Fendi did not
disappoint. The unabashedly romantic collection inspired by Virginia Woolf's Orlando
(fitting for the matriarchal fashion house), the Bloomsbury Group, Italian sculpture
and Fendi's legacy, echoes a sense of timeless creativity. A heady mix indeed, yet the
marble prints, dresses spliced with blazers and quite a few capes all came together to
reveal Jones' remarkably wearable couture that's left us anxious for his next collection.
