Architect Edwin Lutyens and garden
designer Gertrude Jekyll—In my mind it
is impossible to separate the two. They
often worked together and I think they
mutually respected and loved one another
for each other's skills and talents. Their
greatest surviving commission today is the
Formal Garden at Hestercombe Gardens—
absolutely worth a visit.
