West Coast from New York. Previously she was the style director for
Departures magazine,
and an editor for
Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and WWD. "It was a real treat to focus on two

Spring issue," says Codinha. "Fern Mallis' series showcases the inner lives of past
and present fashion icons, while Gabriela Hearst's work is forcing fashion to reconsider its

in our industry," says Whiteside. "She's
such a star. I love looking at these photos
of her and seeing her warmth shine
through." Whiteside is best known for his
