Simple with a whimsical touch. I believe that when you wear an outfit that truly reflects your personality, it becomes a part of you, rather than something you put on. I love the feeling of my clothing being like a second skin. How does Miami inspire your sartorial choices? The weather in Miami inspires a more relaxed and casual approach, as well as the fact I'm mostly traveling by car instead of on foot here. I've embraced the vibrant energy of the city and incorporated more colors and lighter pieces into my wardrobe. What are some of your favorite boutiques at Bal Harbour Shops? I've found really special pieces at Etro, Chanel, Wolford, and The Webster over the years. I also love spending time at Books & Books, and I always pop into Assouline, Diptyque, 100% Capri, and Santa Maria Novella for gifts. What are the fashion pieces that you are coveting for Fall? I've been eyeing combat boots in an off-white color so that I can wear them between my Miami and New York trips without skipping a beat. I'm also excited about layering cashmere sweaters— around the shoulders, around the waist, throwing one into a bag. Loro Piana, Chloé, and Etro are some of my favorites. What is your ideal work ensemble? Silk pants with a fitted T-shirt or knit top. I'll add a blazer from Veronica Beard and heels to the look, depending on if there's a meeting or if it's a more casual workday. What are your favorite shoes for night or day? I almost always wear Manolo Blahnik for events, and I also love the Tituba leather sandals for day. And nothing beats a great pair of Chanel ballet flats. What type of jewelry do you love? I lean towards jewelry that has an heirloom"sensibility with a touch of whimsy, but that you can still layer in with everyday pieces. Some of the items I'm currently coveting: the large diamond Eternity hoop earring by Maria Tash; the Etoilée Eternelle ring from Buccellati; and the ultimate statement piece—the Forget-Me-Not diamond"necklace from Harry Winston. What are your favorite Bal Harbour restaurants? Le Zoo, Hillstone, and Aba are my favorite spots to eat. At Le Zoo I always get chilled cucumber soup and a niçoise salad. At Hillstone I can't resist the spinach and artichoke dip. At Aba I order a mix of the spreads and the branzino." What are your upcoming travel plans? I'll be between LA and New York most of the fall, so I'm really looking forward to being back in Miami for the winter season. In New York, if I'm not at my in-laws' place, I always stay at the Crosby Street Hotel. In LA, it's the Chateau Marmont. Go-to luggage? Rimowa, particularly the Cabin S in silver.
