The quietly trending Baja California Sur town of Todos Santos has seen a crop of design-focused resorts pop up over the past few years, most notably the seductive, wellness-forward Paradero. Cofounded in 2021 by Mexico City–based surfers and entrepreneurs Pablo Carmona and Joshua Kremer, Paradero Todos Santos is poised for the spotlight once again, with two new developments underway. Next spring, Paradero will introduce its Villa Suites, 24 two- and three- bedroom family-friendly (the only of its kind in the area) ultra-luxury accommodations (from $1,200 a night). In a reflection of its commitment to wellness, each unit includes meditation gardens, hammocks, and rooftops outfitted with massage beds. The enclave will also feature a skate park, rock climbing wall, private running track, children's area, and expansive pool. A new destination restaurant will also open next year, joining Paradero's contemporary Mexican eatery, Tenoch. For those interested in more long-term stays, Carmona and Kremer are building Future Living at Paradero Homes, a 20-acre development of 26 private homes (situated on the same property as the hotel, and with full access to hotel amenities) conceived to be an experiential residential community. Designed by Mexican architect Gabriela Carillo, each unit is being built on organic farm plots centered around the Paradero Club, a private gathering space for wellness, dining, and learning. From farming tutorials to cooking classes to workshops focused on ancient healing techniques, "each part of our gated community offers a very distinct experience," says Carmona.
