Bianca and Luigi Passera are the latest Italian hoteliers to reboot their family's holdings to cater to the needs of luxury travelers. The aunt-and-nephew duo have expanded beyond the Como-adjacent hotels they operate under the Lario brand to launch a higher-end, farther-flung sister collection, dubbed Vista. Three years ago, they created Vista Verona, an urban hideaway in Italy's northern reaches, before adding a second spot this summer in its far south. The 28-room Vista Ostuni, which opened in July, is arguably the best five-star option in that gorgeous city, known for its whitewashed cityscape studded with doors painted with candy-like pops of color. The Passeras' project repurposes a 14th century convent-turned–tobacco factory; don't miss the spectacular rooftop pool. — M . E .
