behind the scenes IN PARIS Dutch photographer Emma Vermaase has made the City of Light her creative playground, where the streets are her studio. "I mostly shoot outside," she says. "There's an energy you can't replicate indoors—the light, the people, the spontaneity. A studio gives you control, sure, but the streets let you live in the moment." Her instant bond with the crew and French model Louise Assire sealed the vibe for "C'est Vous." "I barely needed words to get the pose I wanted," says Vermaase. "Louise just understood what I meant. Professional, but warm and fun, as was the rest of the team—that balance makes all the difference." AT RIGHT Model Romy Schonberger taking a pause on set, wearing Ferragamo. IN CANCÚN Shooting at the beach paradise that is Nizuc Resort and Spa, things took an unexpected turn when photographer Mitch Zachary, in pursuit of the perfect shot of model Romy Schonberger, was bitten by a poisonous caterpillar. After quite the scare, his perseverance carried him through the night—allowing him to return to set the next day and capture a breathtaking portfolio of fall looks against a truly majestic backdrop. Among the more than a dozen brands shown in "Sultry by Nature," Schonberger's favorite was an ethereal dress from Chloé: "I loved that pink dress, which would be as appropriate for a summer wedding as it would for a beach day," says the 29-year-old Dutch model. "My personal style tends more toward suiting, so the Zegna men's pants paired with that sparkly Isabel Marant top was fun, too." on set P H OTO S BY N UA L A V I Z A R D ( PA R I S ) ; M I TC H Z AC H A R Y BALHAR B O U RSH O P S .CO M
