The initiative kicked off with a New York City runway show and, later that year, a White House reception hosted by then–First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. 1995 Saks Fifth Avenue becomes a BCRF partner, showing its support through events, marketing, and merchandise. Other department stores, like Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale's, have also have been vital supporters over the years. Ralph Lauren's polo gets the treatment 2000 Ralph Lauren introduces the Pink Pony logo on a polo shirt, solidifying the company's deep commitment to championing breast cancer research, education, screenings, and initiatives. 2022 David Yurman creates an iteration of its classic unisex cable bracelet in pink rubber; the brand has donated more than $3 million since its BCRF partnership began in 2008. 2005 Cartier creates a limited-edition pink-dialed version of its stainless steel Roadster watch. Only 800 pieces were produced, and sold exclusively in the US. B HS B CR F continues reception What started with a simple pink ribbon more than 30 years ago has turned into an industry-wide declaration of stylish support for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Here, we trace the timeline of those appealing pieces, and fashion's commitment to fundraising.
