SINCE 1994, CARPACCIO has held rank as the corner of Bal Harbour Shops to see and be seen. Over silky
strands of spaghetti pomodoro, or paper-thin beef carpaccio topped with a mound of arugula and Parmesan, many a deal
has been brokered and tea spilled. The ambience may have become a little more casual over the years (inner circle intel:
nowadays, those white tablecloths come out only for particular guests). Still, the thrill of securing a valet-facing
table—where one enjoys a direct view of the comings and goings under the iconic porte-cochère—is as enduring as ever.
