DEBORAH FRANK Editor-in-Chief pring is, at its heart, a season of transformation. Light shifts. Color returns. Energy rises. And nowhere is that spirit more vividly expressed than in this issue's Spring/Summer fashion portfolio starring the inimitable Karolina Kurkova. On set, Karolina brought an abundance of joy and momentum, transforming with each look into a new character, and creating a portrait of strength, confidence, and individuality. Photographer Andres Oyuela, who collaborated with her on Bal Harbour Shops' 60th Anniversary campaign, conceived a narrative spotlighting the remarkable range that has defined her career. Stylist Christopher Campbell—my longtime colleague from our Departures days—dressed Karolina in the season's most fantastical pieces, each look amplifying the idea that fashion is not merely adornment, but expression. Behind the scenes, our digital team captured the kinetic magic of the shoot in a series of must-watch videos—now live across our social channels. The entire portfolio serves as a reminder that reinvention can be as simple and powerful as what we choose to wear this spring. Elsewhere in fashion, writer Booth Moore sat down for a rare and revealing conversation with James Perse, exploring the enduring legacy of his distinctly Californian lifestyle brand. And I had the pleasure of meeting Todd Snyder at his Manhattan headquarters, where moodboards and meticulous tailoring coexist with imagination. Todd then made an exclusive appearance at his Bal Harbour Shops boutique to celebrate the extension of his design ethos beyond clothing and accessories to a limited-edition Balmoral Defender, broadening his signature of rugged refinement. This issue also marks the launch of In Focus, an ongoing column dedicated to the visual moments that ignite a collection. We begin with Ferragamo's Maximilian Davis, who homes in on the image that crystallized his Spring/Summer vision. If the season has stirred your wanderlust, JetSet (page 119) transports us further afield: a singular yachting journey through Indonesia's archipelago, a quick trip to the BVI, an immersive wellness retreat in Mexico rooted in Mayan tradition. And finally, I am delighted to introduce a special contributor: Bal Harbour Shops President and CEO Matthew Whitman Lazenby, who on page 56, reflects on the evolving meaning of food as comfort and community—and the central role dining plays in life at the Shops. Transformation. Discovery. Renewal. Here's to the season ahead.
