Shelby Comroe is a New York–based fashion editor whose work appears in Grazia USA, InStyle, Marie Claire, and Haute Living. With a background in market editing and styling, she has worked on campaigns and editorial projects for brands including Tiffany & Co., Marni, and Tod's. For her first contribution to Bal Harbour's BHS Edit, she gravitated toward saturated color and sculptural details, spotlighting dimensional florals, high-impact green, and pieces in bold primary colors that bring fresh energy to spring dressing. Christopher Campbell, who styled this issue's fashion feature, "Unstoppable" (his first contribution to Bal Harbour), shares a special connection with cover model Karolina Kurkova. "We first met backstage at a Helmut Lang show when she was about 16, and I a fresh-faced, 19-year-old intern. I'll never forget those legs that seemed to soar to the sky," says Campbell. "Since then, I've had the pleasure to style her for a couple of shoots over the years. She is as inspiring now as she was when we first met—no doubt a Supermodel." Campbell began his career at T: The New York Times Style Magazine before becoming a fashion editor at Departures. He is currently the fashion director of Flaunt Magazine and regularly collaborates as a freelance fashion stylist with publications like Vogue, C Magazine, and GQ. in this issue Damien Florebert Cuypers is a French illustrator who created the five frontispieces for this issue. "I had tremendous fun working on this series for Bal Harbour, and I hope my drawings inspire a sense of joy and curiosity in its readers," he says. When not traveling for assignments in Paris, New York City, or Tokyo, Cuypers is based in the Hudson Valley, whose rolling hills and vibrant creative community remind him of the gentle beauty of his native country. His clients include Hermès, Apple, Tiffany & Co., Vogue, BMW, Monocle, David Yurman, Carolina Herrera, and the Wall Street Journal.
