At Ferragamo, Creative
Director Maximilian Davis
speaks to his Spring
collection: A perfectly
proportioned and modern
take on the sartorial
insouciance of the
Prohibition era. These
are not your Gatsby-
fied flapper dresses.

wanted the collection to
have a bold, expressive color
story. While researching the
archive, I came across a 1925
image of Lola Todd dressed
head-to-toe in leopard, which
became a pivotal reference. I
was drawn to the materials,
prints, and textiles of the era,
many of which were imported
from across Africa and the
Caribbean into America and
Europe, where they became
symbols of status and self-
expression." —Maximilian Davis
