This is where Eleventy's co-founder and creative director meets clients for Su Misura by Eleventy, the brand's made-to-measure program— and where, on a recent visit to Milan, he walked me through the experience he was preparing to bring to Bal Harbour Shops. Forget the old-school notion of made-to- measure as a solemn exercise in navy, gray, and black suiting. Baldassari has something considerably more interesting in mind. "We want to offer our exclusive fabrics—the pink, the special color, exclusive pattern, exclusive blend of different fabrics," he says. "If you want the blue and the black, you can go everywhere. I want to offer you something special." That distinction gets to the heart of the program. Eleventy's approach extends well beyond suits and tailored jackets to encompass trousers, knitwear, and leather, allowing a client to create not simply an individual piece, but an entire wardrobe or, as Baldassari prefers, a "total look." A jacket might be paired with casual jogger trousers, an ultra-light knit, and a supple leather jacket for evening. Colors can be coordinated, buttons selected, contrasting trims added, and monograms discreetly placed. Even the font of one's initials becomes part of the conversation. And at the Shops, there is an added level of access. Su Misura by Eleventy is currently offered at only three of the brand's 12 US stores, and Bal Harbour Shops is the only Eleventy boutique worldwide with a dedicated made-to-measure stylist specializing in custom orders. It is a distinction that feels especially in step with Baldassari's belief that personalization—and the relationship that comes with it—is what separates a true luxury experience from a transaction. It is customization filtered through Eleventy's particular sensibility: relaxed rather than rigid, sophisticated without feeling overly formal. And, naturally, color plays a starring role. Baldassari points to a softly tinted jacket in a shade the house calls Himalayan Salt, a pale, unexpected pink that offers the sort of alternative he believes his clients are seeking. After all, he reasons, how many blue jackets does one man need? The program is also being tailored, quite literally, to Miami. Their new Birkenstock collab reworks the footwear company's Boston and Gizeh (below) models in suede and nappa, loading them with paisley embroidery, fringe, and cowboy-worthy buckles. Meanwhile, a new Vela bag delivers a nautical- meets-saddle silhouette with a V-shaped zip closure. Head to Bal Harbour Shops for an exclusive style, marrying raffia, leather, and just enough shine to catch the sun. All in, fringe, hardware, and craft-driven leather make Etro's latest offerings feel distinctly… frontier-luxe. —N.R. Bal Harbour Shops' exclusive Vela bag 114 114 BALHAR B O U RSH O P S .CO M
