contributors LYNN YAEGER DEBORAH AFSHANI "I've been reading The Reality of Being by Jeanne de Salzmann, which discusses the teachings of Gurdjieff, an amazing thinker my boyfriend turned me onto. I love reading a random excerpt each day." "The last book I read—finished it on the plane to Paris en route to the couture shows—was the fabulous The Hare With Amber Eyes by Edmund de Waal." Lynn Yaeger is a fashion writer who lives in New York City and has an imaginary apartment in Paris, where she spends all, or at least most, of her time visiting flea markets. She writes frequently for Vogue, The New York Times Tmagazine, Travel & Leisure and the Sundance Network's Full Frontal Fashion website. Deborah Afshani is a fashion stylist who calls Los Angeles and New York City home. Her work regularly appears in Vogue Italia, L'Uomo Vogue and W Asia, among other publications. Part French and part Iranian, Afshani draws inspiration from her multicultural background, her love of literature and film, and everything and everyone she encounters. MARK ELLWOOD LESA HANNAH "Tina Fey's Bossypants was equal parts hilarity, female empowerment and a fascinating look at her career." Lesa Hannah is the beauty director at FASHION magazine, Canada's leading fashion magazine where she has spent the last decade of her career. Hannah lives in Toronto with her husband and four-year-old daughter. "Taking on this assignment was a no brainer since I personally champion clean, green beauty whenever possible." 30 BAL HARBOUR "The Hare With Amber Eyes by Edmund de Waal, who's a famous ceramicist. It's a dazzling book, sparely written and as elegantly minimalist as a piece of Japanese porcelain." British-born, New York-based Mark Ellwood has lived out of a suitcase for most of his life. After college, Ellwood moved to New York to become a print and broadcast journalist, specializing in luxury goods, travel, fashion and contemporary art. He contributes regularly to the Financial Times Weekend and How To Spend It, Bloomberg Businessweek, W magazine and Departures. Ellwood is currently working on a new book, Chasing the Sale: Our Obsession with Getting More for Less (Penguin-Portfolio, 2013)
